TRANSLATION IN MOTION
Peter Kyle Dance offers three free outreach events at two different branches of the Hartford Public Library. Part of the outreach for And all things hushed, the workshop invites participants to explore how poetry and dance function in similar ways – asking us to quiet the mind, and listen with the body to comprehend the delicacy and majesty of our lived experience.

May 26, 2022 from 2-3pm at the Dwight Branch

AND ALL THINGS HUSHED
Don’t miss this exciting Peter Kyle Dance premiere – our first full-length project since relocating to Hartford, CT in 2018. Inspired by The Sonnets to Orpheus, written by poet Rainer Maria Rilke 100 years ago, the work combines a traveling experience of walking through an immersive exhibit with a sit-down performance featuring a cast ranging in age from 15-68, including veteran PKD collaborators, as well as some fabulous new creative partners. And all things hushed premieres at Real Art Ways, a thriving contemporary art center bringing artists and communities together since the 1970s. This project was supported, in part, by a Creation of New Work grant from The Edward C. and Ann T. Roberts Foundation, faculty research funding from Trinity College, and through donations from many generous individuals.
